The Hyde Park Blast cycling races are the largest one day competitve cycling event in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. The 2010 race had more than 350 cyclists registered from 27 states with competitors from Canada and South America.
The Blast cycling races are some of the most anticipated cycling races for both junior level cyclists and professionals of national standing. The feature Pro 1-2 race was part of the USA CRITS Series and finishes under the lights in front of our large, supportive crowd.
The Hyde Park Blast features the components that make criterium cycling racing an American legacy: the course is challenging and showcases one of Cincinnati’s most historic entertainment and retail districts; the large crowds come for the fun of the day-long event; and, the large crowd and broad community support make the Hyde Park Blast a strong marketing opportunity for our sponsors.
New in 2009 was the alliance between the Hyde Park Blast and the Tour De Grandview in Columbus, Ohio. In 2010, there was a cycling tri-fecta in Ohio with the inaugural Madeira Centennial Criterium on Friday June 25th, the Hyde Park Blast on Saturday June 26th and the Tour de Grandview on Sunday June 27th!

This is a four-corner criterium with 1 left and 3 right hand technical turns. The course is relatively flat with one short hill. Hyde Park Square is a great place to participate or spectate. Be sure to stay for the Block Party for food, music and fun! It begins at 6pm!
